The evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel began with a cocktail reception, a fabulous silent auction and appetizers by celebrity chefs Suzanne Goin, Nancy Silverton & Matt Molina and Suzanne Tracht. Guests were led into the ballroom by the enthusiastic drummers of the TAIKOPROJECT. The program was hosted by actress Eva LaRue and guests were treated to a Light Graffiti student video, a commanding performance by the Inner-City Arts Repertory Dance Company and a spoken word piece by Tray Bain and Cryss Bragg.
Our honorees enjoyed the evening among their family and friends, being celebrated for their civic engagement and contributions to the community. President of USC Dr. C. L Max Nikias presented the award for Artistic Excellence to artist Soraya Sarah Nazarian. Producer and actor Paul Reiser was on hand to congratulate Colleen Bell on receiving the award for Philanthropic Leadership and Inner-City Arts co-founder Bob Bates presented DreamWorks Animation SKG with the Children’s Advocacy Award.
A great time was had by all and we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported our gala – this was our most successful event to date. Thank you!
