Ed Moses has had a more than 50-year career as a noted non-objective and abstract artist. Characteristic of his technique, Ed Moses seldom uses a brush and instead works by staining, knifing, splashing and mopping. His work also includes a series of coastal architectural drawings, sensual subject matter, translucent resins, and wooden-panel paintings with abstract architectural design.His work was the subject of a 45-year career retrospective at
Los Angeles' Museum
of Contemporary Art in 1999.
