Ceramics

Ceramics classes at Inner-City Arts provide the students with an opportunity to explore the elements and principles of art through clay. They explore a variety of projects, including slab structures, basic pinch and coil pots, and creating fantastical environments developed through their imaginations.

Even when learning basic building skills with clay, the students engage their creativity. Line, shape, color, space, texture, rhythm, balance and pattern are all introduced in this medium. Students experience opportunities for individual expression and collaborative learning.
