APRIL 2008:
Representatives from Inner-City Arts will be traveling to Tel Aviv this month to present at a conference called, “Advancing Children through the Arts.” Beth Tishler, Inner-City Arts' Director of Education, and Bob Bates, Inner-City Arts' Co-Founder will be speaking about Inner-City Arts, our Arts in the Middle Program, and sharing our evaluative findings at the conference sponsored by Bar Ilan University and the Jaffa Institute. The duo, joined by Inner-City Arts' Board Chairman Michael Schreter and Dr. Kylie Peppler, a UCLA evaluator, will meet with various organizations to learn more about educational practices throughout diverse areas of Israel.
Friday, May 30: 3rd Annual Tables of Ten: Dining for a Cause – The cause? Inner-City Arts. The event? A very cool one. Ten talented chefs will create a dinner that will be served on a table created by leading designers. Students from Inner-City Arts will also get to design one the tables and it's sure to be out of this world! The event will be held at the Pacific Design Center.
