MAY 2007 ENEWS: -- Sophie (pictured above), Inner-City Arts' mascot and honorary staff member, was put to sleep on April 15, 2007. Sophie was 13 and lived a full life that involved standing up to squirrels that taunted her and snoring loudly during staff meetings. Sophie came to work every day with her owner, Susie Goliti, Inner-City Arts' Director of Administration. Sophie brought so much joy to our organization, her fuzzy face will be sorely missed. -- Anyone that is familiar with Inner-City Arts would easily deem our organization “priceless,” but one of our supporters actually submitted us as such on MasterCard's Priceless.com web site. See and hear what he had to say: http://www.priceless.com/picks/arts/inner/index.html -- The year 2007 has started off with a flurry of activity on campus. Only 4 months into the new year, Inner-City Arts has already served 22 schools and over 2,240 students and teachers. One of the newest partner schools to join Inner-City Arts' family is City Life Downtown Charter. Eighth grade students from City Life recently completed classes in visual arts, ceramics, music and drama. The students culminated their session with a showing of their work in the Visual Arts Gallery, which included still life drawings on canvas and ceramic trees of life. -- On June 2,
Inner-City Arts will benefiting from the 10th Annual Art and Design
Walk located in West Hollywood, a street festival where
hundreds of showrooms, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants in their
area play open house to the public. Inner-City Arts Chorus
will be performing at this outdoor evening event. For more information
