MusicThe goal in our music program is to nurture the human spirit of young people through musical instruction and performance. We provide learning and performing opportunities, promoting artistic appreciation of singing and playing musical instruments. Offering both instrumental and vocal classes, the music curricula promote self-discovery, self-discipline and self-expression. We focus on fostering the student’s personal and artistic development through activities designed for discovery, learning, skill mastery, sharing, teamwork, and growth. The World Music Ensemble and the Inner-City Arts Chorus both allow students to experience the magic of performance. |

Part of our holistic approach to performance education includes providing music students with experiences that assist them in discovering all aspects of learning and contribute to the development of the whole child -- mind, body and spirit. As such, both dance and drama experiences are included in the music curriculum to prepare for performance.
